Fifth edition of ZBF: "Brave New World"

The quest to establish a perfect society through the programming of happiness and pleasure from modern man today creates an atrophied individual who on the one hand lives in a world sick of prosperity, while on the other millions of people are forced to seek a better life through dangerous and uncertain migrant routes. With all the progress of modern society, we are faced with the dehumanizing aspects of material and scientific progress that want to make an individual, more than anything, a happy consumer. Today’s man often feels alienated, even though he communicates more than ever, and depression, feelings of loneliness, and anxiety are among the leading sources of dissatisfaction. Mass production has made cars, cell phones, information, as well as cheap stimuli that simulate a sense of satisfaction widely available, but the same happy western man is recording an increase in xenophobia and populism everywhere. Shaping a unified society, genetic engineering, eliminating all sources of frustration, effort and pain, are actually the result of trying to make people happy - but is it really possible in the way we have chosen? What is the future of today's man, who are the millennials and how do they see the world they found and what do they want to make of it, what will happen to science, art and religion in the future, why do people really want to restrict the movement of people with wires and walls? to say what the future holds and whether the thought of one of the most influential philosophers of the 19th century, F. Nietzsche, “We have the art not to die from the truth” is still valid.
